This webinar will describe LEGEND, a new paradigm in large-scale, open-source, data-analytics for real world evidence generation. Nicole will describe how the Observational Health Data Science and Informatics (OHDSI) collaboration used a systematic analysis across six administrative claims and three electronic health record databases in four countries, standardised to OHDSI’s Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership common data model, to generate real-world evidence of the effectiveness and safety of first-line antihypertensive drug treatments. LEGEND Hypertension exploited state-of-the-art methods to control for residual confounding, publication bias and p-hacking in real-world evidence studies and demonstrated generally comparable effectiveness between drug classes.
